Backcountry Drones headquarters is proudly stationed in Killeen, Texas and has called Central Texas its home for the last five years. We are a young and thriving drone equipment and service provider for the state of Texas and always look ways to bring value to stakeholders. We proudly operate the Texas Animal Drone Search and Rescue (TADSAR) group, a state wide thermal drone pilot network designed to help find missing loved ones with the best drone technology in the world. Justin Cox | Owner & Pilot in Command
Justin is a drone enthusiast who witnessed the impacts drones had to keep his Soldiers alive and safe during his multiple deployments overseas. Now stationed at his last duty station, Fort Cavazos, he created Backcountry Drones LLC to assist the local community in documenting and protecting their assets. He specializes in Search and Rescue of people and animals, aerial thermography, and 3D land mapping. Justin has taken Backcountry Drones to new heights by becoming a regional leader in the sUAS industry as well as establishing the first Enterprise Drone Equipment Dealership in the Central Texas area. Justin and his family are proud to call Central Texas their home and look forward to being the trusted authority for drone operations in the region.
